Lars Kepler is the pseudonym of a Swedish husband-and-wife writing team, Alexandra Coelho Ahndoril and Alexander Ahndoril. Their novels have been translated into more than 30 languages and have sold over 15 million copies worldwide.
Their first novel, The Hypnotist, was published in 2009 and won the Swedish Crime Writers’ Association’s award for Best First Novel. The series continued with The Nightmare, The Fire, The Sandcastle, The Secret, and The Cobra.
The Spider is the seventh novel in the Joona Linna series and was published in 2018. It tells the story of a serial killer who is targeting young women. The novel has been praised for its suspenseful plot and its complex characters.
